This is how we dress when it comes to our Nigerian traditional weddings.
Traditional weddings are the best opportunity to play with colors! Many brides are however, opting to wear their favorite colors for different elements of their outfit – from head wrap to wrapper. The hottest colors are shades of blue and green – aqua, teal etc.

  1. What beautiful pictures. Nigerian culture celebrates different colors in their clothing and hair wraps. I have a friend who visited Lagos Nigeria and when she returned to the states she surprised me with an outfit she purchased for me while there. Whenever I wear it I get lots of compliments. It's so beautiful.

  2. I love the colors! The people are so made up they do look like they are on stage. I imagine they, like many people, are paying a small fortune for such a celebration.

  3. These are very beautiful garments, I wouldn't mind owning a few of them myself. My little cousins visited Kenya with their mom, which is where she was born, over the summer and they wore some very nice garments from head to toe, they really seemed to enjoy themselves and it was their first time meeting their grandparents and other family members on their mom's side of the family.
